Marietta, PA, January 11, 2011--Len Kreider is assuming duties as a volunteer chaplain at the Transport For Christ Mobile Chapel at the All American Travel Plaza, Exit 10 off I-78 in Frystown, PA. Len will be serving along with current staff chaplains Jake Wise, Jim Smalley and Richard Guy, and four other volunteer chaplains.

Mobile chapels are a refuge for truckers, many of whom are away from home for weeks at a time. Approximately 300 truckers pass through the plaza each day. Len, along with the other chaplains are there to serve as needed. The chapel offers two services on Sunday and a Bible Study each evening.

Kreider, who continues to drive a truck, comes to Transport For Christ Ministry after completion of a course of study on the Bible. Kreider notes that he is answering the call to give back and that he feels honored to assist the current staff chaplains in their duties at the Open Door Chapel. With Kreider’s assistance, the chapel will be able to commit to the goal of remaining open 24/7 to assist truckers, as well as any travelers, that visit the travel plaza.

Transport For Christ chapels are located at strategic travel plazas across the United States and Canada. The chapels offer truckers a place where they can find fellowship, encouragement, a listening ear, as well as assistance for any physical needs.
